Once again The CDC sent their best players to Columbus to participate in the Quad-City
All Star Challenge, on Sunday, November 21, 2004. Cleveland’s All Star Team has always been a force to be reckoned
with and this year was no exception.
The men’s team began the day out strong, taking an impressive lead winning 24 out of a possible 30 points in their
first round. It was our own Pete Smolleck recording the scores of each round. Cleveland proved right from the
beginning we were bound and determined to come home with nothing but the First Place trophy. All the teams worked
and played exceptionally well together. Especially the team of Steve Kracjer, Gary Rice, Dave Mercer and first-year
player Dave Meeks, winning an impressive 26 out of a possible 30 points in their division. Seeing our score after
the first round, it seemed that both the men and women’s teams were on a mission to keep control of the days matches.
And we did by playing great darts and never looking back. We believe we dominated this year that, in so much
prior to the women’s last round, we had already won the Quad-City Challenge. Kat and I would like to thank all
of those that participated and helped to make this year’s event a wonderful success. We will soon be planning
fundraisers and events for next year’s All Star Team soon. They will be published on Weekly Standings Sheets and
the website.
Thanks!
