Subject: Winter League Prize Structure & Tournaments
A change to Prize Money distribution and Winter Tournaments for your league has been proposed.
Please choose one of the following methods and have your Captain return this to the Club Office with the Match
ScoreSheet.
Current format
- Payout checks for each team that completes the session, based on Final Standing,
are mailed to captains. Ex.- 1st Place receives $170, 8th receives $75.
- League Awards (plaques) for 1st & 2nd Place teams are based on Final Standings.
- Teams are seeded within their division based on their Week #7 Standings.
- Teams seeded in the top half of their division play Round 1 (Week 16) at their
home bar. Format is Team`01, Best of 7 games.
- Winning Teams compete in Round 2 (Week 17) at a location determined by lottery
to determine a division champion. Format is Team`01, Best of 3 games.
- Division Champions advance to the Championship on one of the next two weekends
to compete against other Division Champs from their level (Bronze, Silver, Gold). Format is Team`01, Best of 5.

- League Awards (plaques) for 1st & 2nd Place teams are based on Final Standings.

- Payout checks for each team will be based on finish in the Winter Tournaments,
as outlined below. Teams that do not participate in the tournaments will share in Top8 money. Ex.- 1st Place pays
$250, 8th Place pays $90.
- Teams are seeded within their division based on their Week #7 Standings; Week
10 for 6-team schedules and Week 12 for 4-team schedules.
- Teams seeded in the top half of their division play Round 1 (Week 16) at their
home bar. Format is your regular league night Match Format. All losing teams share Top-8 money.
- Winning Teams compete in Round 2 (Week 17) at a location determined by lottery
to determine a division champion. Format is Singles x 4, Doubles `01 x 2, one Team`01. Losers split Top4 money.
- Division Champions advance to a single Championship on the weekend to compete
against other Division Champs in a Blind Draw.. Format: Bronze plays 601, Silver plays 801, Gold plays 1001. Prize
= $45 per division into the pot (approx. $500) that will pay out to Top4= $50, 2nd= $150, 1st= $250.
- Changes over current tournament format are: 1st Place pays more - ALL teams are
in the hunt longer, Last Place pays more than the current system.
