2006 Cleveland Darter Club ~ Winter League Tournaments: Frequently Asked Questions
Who keeps score? |
The highest seeded team in any given match. The reason being, they're probably better at it!
What time are the Finals? |
This was on the white form that was mailed with Week 13, but there was an error for the Thursday League date. The corrected pdf is here, and the graphic is here. Note: you need to arrive before the "registration ends" time.
Why isn't my team's finish posted on the Results bracket? |
The "posted as of.." date is mentioned on the front page. If you called in after that, your
team isn't posted yet. UNLESS: You called in to the office on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 26 - in which case there was a clerical error. Drop us a line and we'll get your results posted. Sorry! |
What is the game format? |
Whatever your regular "Team `01" is. IE: Monday League = Bronze plays 701,
Silver plays 801, and Gold plays 1,001. Best-of-7 for Round 1 (first team to win 4 games wins the match), and
Best-of-5 for Round 2. The Finals format is to be determined on the day of the tournament by your league director. |

Why is the page all jumbled up and illegible? I can't read it! |
Can't tell you exactly "why" it's jumbled, but in order to fix it just hit the division tab at the bottom of the page twice - it fixes it every time for us when we do that. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Why do some brackets in the Results have numbers and times or "forfeit" printed above or below them? |
Numbers like "4-3" are match scores that were requested if the results
were reported timely. Times, such as "11:22p" are when the score was called in, if called in from the bar on the match night. This information is periodically reviewed for scheduling purposes. "Forfeit" is exactly that. Whichever team didn't move forward to the next leg on the bracket was the forfeiting team. |
Why do some semi or quarter-finals not have a team name listed? |
No one from the team bothered to call in their results, as instructed. The League
has no way of knowing who won/lost unless it's called in. Perhaps some teams who lost in the semi's were relying on the team who beat them to call in for them. |
Who gets the prize $ listed under teams who lost in the semi-finals in their division. |
If a team name is listed, a check is made payable and mailed to the captain. If there is no team name listed, the money will most likely go to the Foley Memorial Fund, to be determined by the board of directors. In any case, it's too late now to try and verify who may have won or lost. Next year..... CALL IN YOUR RESULTS!
